Cloud Infrastructure Director @ Impresoft 4ward, Microsoft MVP Cloud and Datacenter Management
Francesco earned his degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2004, subsequently launching his career in the field of Information Technology (IT). Since 2012, Francesco holds the title of 'Microsoft Certified Trainer' (MCT), through which he has delivered numerous official Microsoft courses, with a particular focus on Microsoft Azure. In 2016, Microsoft awarded him the prestigious "Most Valuable Professional" (MVP) recognition in the "Cloud and Datacenter Management" category, acknowledging his deep technical expertise and commitment to Microsoft and technical communities. Currently, at the company where he works, Francesco holds the position of Director of the “Cloud Infrastructure” Business Unit. In this role, he is responsible for the company's technical strategy in the target market. He defines, leads, and shares the organizational, technological, and strategic vision of the Business Unit. He oversees team activities, coordinates research and development, and manages the organizational, procedural, and financial aspects of the Business Unit. More specifically, the Business Unit "Cloud Infrastructure" is divided into two working groups. One group deals with infrastructures, handling virtualization technologies, Hyperconverged solutions, hybrid architectures, and Cloud infrastructures. The second group is dedicated to IT Governance, ensuring the effective and efficient use of infrastructures through Data Protection solutions, Disaster Recovery, monitoring, governance, and automation. Francesco serves as the Community Lead for the Cloud Community (www.cloudcommunity.it), the Italian reference point for cloud management and governance. This community is dedicated to disseminating news and insights about the cloud world, with a focus on business needs. Furthermore, Francesco frequently participates as a speaker at major IT Pro conferences at the European level.
