I've always been the first in line to test out new products, services, gadgets, especially those which promised to change people’s lives. I’ve always been a tech superhero. After all these years, my personal mission went from changing the world through technology to improving the world, one human interaction at a time. Changing the way people live in the digital age is possible only by addressing the human factor, together with technology. My proven track record of driving sales involves creating connections, building communities, challenging views, delivering value, and going the extra mile. As a Cloud Architect and Evangelist, I’ve presented technical and business content to a wide range of different audiences, from executive meetings to large developer conferences, including many online and in-person events, and I was recognized as the “best speaker” multiple times, thanks to a clever mix of storytelling and technology. I have a deep technical knowledge of Application Innovation and Modernization in the Cloud, Cloud Native solutions and, of course, on-premises solutions. I can drive product development and technology teams. I have a deep business knowledge of Manufacturing, Automotive, and Construction business, coupled with a broad knowledge of ISVs and Microsoft partners. Marco Minerva has been using .NET since its first introduction. Today he proudly lives in Taggia, Italy, works as a freelance consultant and is involved in designing and developing solutions for the Microsoft ecosystem. His greatest expertise is backend development as a software architect. He holds training courses. He is a speaker at technical events, writes books and articles about developing and regularly makes live streaming about coding on Twitch. He is a Microsoft MVP since 2013.

I am basically an eternal student, because the subject matter is endless. I've always defined myself as a backend developer, but I don't disdain poking around on the other side of the code either. I like to think that 'writing' software is mainly about solving business problems and providing value to the customer, and in this I find DDD patterns a great help. I work as a software engineer at Intré, a company that espouses this ideology; as a good introvert, I find it difficult to come out of the closet, but I like to get out of my comfort zone to share with others the things I have learnt, so that I can find the right stimuli each time to continue improving. I like to frequent the community world, contributing, when I can, with active proposals. I am co-founder of the DDD Open and Polenta and Deploy communities, and an active member of other communities such as Blazor Developer Italiani. Fin da giovane, ho sempre avuto una passione smisurata per i numeri e le materie scientifiche. Quando mi sono approcciato per la prima volta al computer, ho capito che la mia vera vocazione era la tecnologia e la sua continua evoluzione. La mia determinazione mi ha aiutato a conseguire una Laurea in Ingegneria Informatica con lode. La mia carriera lavorativa è iniziata nel 2009 come consulente, dandomi l’opportunità di acquisire esperienza su tutte le aree applicative del ciclo di vita dello sviluppo. La mia voglia di crescere ed affrontare nuove sfide mi ha portato ad approfondire la mia conoscenza del Cloud Computing, una tecnologia dall’enorme potenziale, nella quale ho deciso di verticalizzarmi per garantire ai miei clienti da Libero Professionista, soluzioni efficaci e ottimali per il loro business. Nel tempo libero, il tennis mi permette di staccare la mente, mentre il Cubo di Rubik mi mette costantemente alla prova, sviluppando creatività e abilità nel risolvere problemi complessi.

Ho fatto della mia predisposizione al backend la mia filosofia di programmazione, di lavoro e soprattutto di vita. Non riesco ad immaginare un mondo senza database, senza strati di Data Access o di business logic. Negli ultimi anni mi sono avvicinato al mondo Cloud utilizzando Azure Platform. Come ho cominciato? Più che il come, bisognerebbe chiedere il quando. Ho cominciato a fare backend in ambito Microsoft nel lontano 2002. Vi posso garantire che ai tempi senza StackOverflow, col modem a 56k e la connessione a pagamento in base alla durata/orario non era cosi semplice la vita. Happy Coding!

With a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and a 2nd-level master's in Sports Engineering, I joined Deltatre's Innovation Lab in 2019, an R&D team focused on areas ranging from computer vision to ML and NLP. As a Data Scientist, my expertise lies in handling diverse data formats and pioneering exploratory analysis techniques. Recently, within the Innovation Lab, my focus includes collaborating on the exploration of RAG-based solutions to enhance our NLP capabilities.

More recent experiences in his Microsoft’s journey include: Sales and Business Development Director, Sales Director of Top Manufacturing Accounts, Sales Director of Corporate Accounts, Sales Director of Microsoft Server & Tools.
